Fighting the spread of COVID-19 one mask at a time.

Who We Are.

Mask Up is a student led organization based in Cambridge, MA that is working to increase access to and usage of homemade masks to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. Whether through making and distributing homemade masks to our community, or through providing online resources for mask making and raising awareness for practices to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we are committed to doing our part in addressing this global crisis.

Free masks.

Masks only work as a preventative measure against COVID-19 if everyone participates. For that reason we are working to provide mask access to those who cannot make their own.

If you, your family member, your business, or your organization is in need of a mask or masks please let us know below.

Make your own mask.

Mask making is simple, easy, and fun! We have a variety or guides and resources on how to make your own mask at home. All it takes is some fabric (jeans, cotton, t-shirts, etc) and a sewing kit to make masks for your and your family.

Get involved.

We need help collecting materials to turn into face masks. If you have old t-shirts, bedsheets, or any other 100% cotton fabric please consider donating it to be turned into a face mask.

Help support our work by making some masks from home to donate to the Cambridge community. We are in need of sewers to assemble masks and volunteers to cut fabric before it is sewn. We can provide you with material or you can make it from you own fabric.
